My house could basically serve as a new-age-self-help library and I am constantly seeking out the best practices and people to support my health, growth and learning.
I love sharing these gems with anyone who will listen. Here you will find the people, places, words and things that support me in living a purpose-driven life.
My Favorite Healing Practitioners
Dr. Aidan Kinsella, D.C.
Dr. Aidan is transcendent in her craft. She practices Network Chiropractic Care and Reorganizational Healing, which is the most robust and three-dimensional system of healing I have ever seen. I see her for guidance through transformational growth and support in living an extraordinary life. Of everything I do to support my health and well-being, this is the most valuable.
Dr. Laura Figoski, N.D.
Working with Dr. Laura has changed my relationship with my body and my health. After suffering for more than a decade with chronic health issues, I experienced total relief within a few months of seeing her. Her compassionate, attentive, holistic and intelligent care has changed the way I care for my body — which is absolutely priceless.
Mark Haviland
Mark is a soul-whispering-magical-shaman. He practices a form of bodywork called Soulmatic Therapy in which he utilizes rigorously honest dialogue, breath work and attuned deep tissue bodywork that creates an experience that can change your life. He has supported me through seasons of massive upheaval in my life and I can not more highly recommend him.
Inspiring TED Talks
TED is a nonprofit devoted to ideas worth spreading. Inspiring experts from all over the world give the presentations of their lives in 18 minutes or less at TED and TEDx events. I have a life goal of presenting at a TED conference. Possible topics include: “The Science of Spirituality,” “What the Dying Teach us About Living” and “The New Athleisure; the art of dressing like you’re ready for yoga or a date at any moment.” Until then, here are some of my favorites:
Amy Cuddy: Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are
Brene Brown: The Power of Vulnerability
Brene Brown: Listening to Shame
Libby Weaver: The Pace of Modern Life Versus Our Cavewoman Biochemistry
Elizabeth Gilbert: Your Elusive Creative Genius
Kelly McGonigal: How to Make Stress Your Friend
Andy Pudicombe: All it Takes is 10 Mindful Minutes
Where I Learn
I became the teacher and leader I am today at this amazing place, instructed by the best of the best. If you are a San Diego local, MOSAIC is where you will find the most inspiring, uplifting and soulful yoga classes on the planet. If not, the teacher training and leadership programs are well worth traveling for.
My Support Team
Heather M. Lee
Brand Strategy
Heather’s enthusiastic guidance helped me take the dreams and passions from my heart and turn them into tangible gifts I can share with the world. She is a mind-mapping and brainstorming genius who will remind you of your worth and craft an insanely organized plan for manifesting your dream.
Lisa Holden
Content Curation
Lisa is a writer by trade and nature. She helps me develop my own voice in a way that’s genuine, digestible and succinct. I’m thrilled to see her take my words and turn them into inspiring, powerful statements that help me set the world on fire.
Kevin Freiberger
Web Development
Kevin blew me away with a stunning proposal to put my heart and soul in website form. He delivered an exact representation of me, and as someone who’s about as tech-savvy as the average grandmother, this is a miracle.
Hannah Bauhofer
Photography
Hannah is behind the beautiful images that grace this site. She captured my practice so genuinely and was a total blast to work with. Plus, she’s a nurse-turned-passion-project-entrepreneur like me, so I love her for that.
Tila Williams
Graphic Design
I’m so honored to have people on my team who relate to my mission and want to be a part of it. Tila has a passion to “design for good,” and crafts fresh, innovative and thoughtful concepts for brands that have a higher meaning and purpose.
